This book is full of love, well structured, lots of great tips, little stories and things to do and think about. It's clearly made with so much love and brightened up my depressive days. I especially loved the colourful drawings and sayings (which really made me think about my own thinking). Can fully recommend it if you are having a hard time, with or without therapy.

That's what I've found out on my own, unintended journey through misery. So when I felt much better again, and funnily enough thankful for everything these tough times had taught me, I made a decision: I would create a book for ME, with áll things that supported my journey. If ever have to go through a similar journey again, it would help me guide myself back to calmer waters.

Wow! What a lovely book! Straight from the heart, full of love, encouraging, positive (even though it's about a negative situation), lovingly inspiring, and with plenty of practical exercises and tips. I would definitely recommend this book, even if you're not experiencing a severe burnout.
Finally, a book that helped me through the days I don't see my psychologist. Nobody talks about this, but Marieke does! A lovely book for people that can use the extra support during times of burnout and depression. It really works.

about me, Marieke, and my mission
Hi, I'm Marieke! And I'm normally a optimistic happy camper, traveller, illustrator, and holder of a Psychology Msc.... But when a cloud of deep anxiety/depression/burn-out completely knocked me off my feet (while living on the most beautiful beach in Australia!) - I was none of that anymore.
Suddenly I could only feel despair for months. I saw no way out. I was forced to move back home to my parents near Amsterdam. And was absolutely certain I would néver feel better again. The end of me.
But... I did recover. And came out stronger.
And once I was thriving once again - I made myself this 'do-book'. So I would always have hope, love and a step-by-step guide if such a storm would ever hit me again. And to have a book I could actually read and process when I would feel down. It became my mission to help others, and to make sure no one ever has to feel as alone as I did. You are not alone, you are not crazy. I am here with you every step of the way.
